What is MTB Junior Festival?
 
  
 

A Celebration of Young Talent
 
 
The Junior World Festival is designed to create a unique highlight in the calendar for juniors. This event is aimed at athletes who still have time to grow and develop their skills, offering them the opportunity to experience a season highlight – similar to their younger years at the Youth European Championships.This is the only event just for JUNIOR-riders!

By addressing the challenges of high drop-out rates from U17 to Junior categories and further on in U23, this event aims to inspire and motivate young athletes who are still developing their skills.

This Festival offers a chance for juniors to connect with peers of the same age, work together on synergies and gain valuable experience while collecting points. Beyond the competition, it’s a celebration of everyone’s commitment to the sport, fostering a future where more athletes thrive in XCO cycling—whether as competitors or coaches.

At the end of the week, we crown the first woman and man as the Junior World Festival King and Queen based on the sum of the best results across all five competitions, recognizing all participants as winners for their dedication and passion.
