Due to the dramatic situation concerning the Corona Virus Pandemia in whole Europe the ECHs are POSTPONED!

A new unknown date is considered.
In consultation with UEC and UCI the new date will be fixed.

My estimation is the following:
The whole first half of the sports year 2020 will fall out in Europe.
With a totally new crisis planning the sports system on the continent maybe can restart in autumn on national basis in the different countries.
It would be the best for organisers and athlets to postpone the whole international sports year 2020 to 2021 and do the same with the following years.

In the next months the medical care for all the people in Europe and the sorrow for all the human beings, who passed away yet, have the first priority in our lives. Let us take care on us and our fellow human beings and let us talk about sports, when the moment will be right in the future.

La situation dramatique causée par la pandémie du corona dans toute l’Europe rend impossible la tenue des championnats d’Europe en mai 2020.

Une autre date est actuellement à l’étude.
Cette nouvelle date sera déterminée en temps utile, en accord avec l’UEC et l’UCI.

Selon mon estimation actuelle, l’année sportive 2020 va être annulée dans toute l’Europe au premier semestre, et redémarrer tout doucement à l’automne, à l’échelle nationale, selon un plan de secours entièrement remanié. La meilleure solution pour les organisateurs et les athlètes consisterait à repousser d’un an exactement l’ensemble de l’année sportive 2020 dans toutes les disciplines pour ce qui est des événements internationaux. Les années suivantes seraient également reportées d’un an !

Au cours des mois à venir, c’est la santé de tous en Europe qui importe avant tout, ainsi que le deuil de ceux qui nous ont quittés. Faisons attention à nous et aux autres. Nous pourrons reparler de sport quand le moment sera venu.

In May ????? 202? the big XC European Championships take place in Styria for the second time and bring the elite of the MTB-sports into the bikeCULTure Region Graz. The "PRE"-Championships 2018, with the team-relay, Eliminator ECH (in the inner city of Graz UNESCO World Heritage Site), the XC Masters-EM and the XC-ECH for Juniors and U23, already manifested the attractiveness of the races within the Schöcklmonster Bike-Terroir. In addition to the spectacular limestone-plant-root-trails the crazy statteggians moved about 150.000 qm of soil, beneth the start-finish-area, to form an tremendous open air arena for the 2-wheel-artists, which can´t find each other in the world.
After the successful celebration of the biggest ECH ever in 2003 together with Graz, Thal and St. Radegund (also including the Marathon-, Downhill-, 4-Cross- and Trial-ECH), der Marathon-WCH in 2009, 10 Marathon Masters ECH between 2005 and 2015 and the legendary UEC Youth European Championships from 2011-2017, the team of the BC Stattegg, with president Jürgen Pail in front, wants to set now, with the the 20. ECH in Stattegg, only two month before the olympic games in Tokio, another milestone for the glorious future of MTB-sports.
